high heels where do I start?

I'm not a high heels wearer, I've only ever worn them for special occasions, but now I relaly feel likegetting a couple of pairs to wear with jeans/skirts in a more casual way. Where do I start? Are wedges easy to walk in? What's the ideal hight?? and which shop has some comfy and not too pricy stuff?? Thanks!

Wedges are easy to walk in and possibly more "practical" than other types of heel. I suppose they also feel more casual. You could also try tan leather sandals/peep toes to wear with jeans.

Ideal height for me is 3 - 4". Enough to give my legs a flattering a shape (which will depend on the style of shoe).

What is your budget for shoes? IME, cheaper heels are fine if they are not worn for serious lengths of time (ie the whole day, everyday) but my most comfy shoes have been my most expensive ones......but generally bought in the sales

Aldo are my favourite for comfort.

I personally find wedges harder work than 'heels' but everyone is different.
