Not really style, but does anyone have a Sprayway waterproof jacket? Or other they would recommend?

Is it good in the waterproof department??
I have seen one in TK Maxx but it is not the Gore-tex version and I am wondering if it is any good compared with North Face for example....
TIA.

I went to Blacks and all the North Face / Berghaus ones are sooooo short ....

I have one, hate it, it feels cold and clammy on the bare skin and is roasting hot when zipped up. It always feels horrible at the back of the neck. When I brought this up at he shop, I was told that I need to wear an appropriate top underneath to get the best out of it. Well, noone mentioned that when I bought it...

I´m tall but it´s too short at the front, though covers the bum at the back.

Can you tell I hate it? it cost a fortune, would be looking at Northface next time..

Sorry, ranted but didn´t answer your question.. It was waterproof.. until the pockets ripped open.

Ah, not a great recommendation then .

I really want a 3/4 length one. I bought the North Face one to show DH but he and I both think it is a weird length and I will get a wet bum! It seems designed to wear with waterproof trousers but that is no good for everyday really. Ho hum, back to the drawing board. Thanks for the feedback though, you have saved me a trip .

Hm, let me know if you find a good one..

It seems to me that these flash raincoats are only suitable for serious walking or climbing etc, eg. being designed to use with waterproof trousers. I suspect a cheap mac is more what we´re after...

VanillaPumpkin · 19/05/2009 21:14

I know .

I don't want to get wet on the school run though.....

I have a Craghopper which i am really pleased with, its turquoise and not too 'sensible' but really waterproof and warm in cold weather but not overly so if that makes sense. I got mine in the sale, £35 in stead of £70- that was a couple of years ago though.
