Are wedges a friend or foe to those of us afflicted with cankles?

Have my eye on a few nice pairs (altho will obv. only be buying one.....honest). But whilst my legs are not mahoosive, I am afflicted with cankles. Can I wear wedges or no?

Yes you can, as long as there is no ankle strappage. A mule wedge or sling back might be better, it will leave more skin on show and not cut you at your wide part.

Friend.

moondog · 18/05/2009 18:33

yes,fine

AnyFucker · 18/05/2009 18:34

yes, a slingback wedge will look good

mrsmaidamess · 18/05/2009 18:37

Come on then show us whatcha got

ReligiousBiscuit · 18/05/2009 18:38

honestly 'cankles' don't exist it is just another thing to denograte woman with. walks off muttering 'wear the feckingn shoes if you like them'

squeaver · 18/05/2009 18:40

Yes friend definitely.

But, as I possess not only cankles but fat toes and bad toe nails, I am looking for nice wedges (not too high, for daytime wear) with a closed toe.

Am fucked if I can find any.

Thanks for such a quick response

I can't find a link to the ones I want.

They are John Lewis own brand and are basically peep toe shoes in navy leather but with a really comfy 3" wedge (the wedge is an espadrille type).

They felt like butter on my feet when I tried them on

squeaver Too high ?. Don't forget they have a platform so in actual fact they are about an inch lower than they look and will be much more comfy.
