Holywood glamour party - help with accessories please

Would you clever ladies be able to help me, please? We've been invited to a Height of Holywood Glamour party. I have a lovely ballgown in burgundy in the cupboard, so just to accessorise and have fun with make up.

I have cream shoes so thought about a cream feather boa and cream opera gloves - but can only find white, online, not cream.

I have a black feather boa already, so could get black shoes/gloves and then wondered about a black net thingie to go on my face?

Any ideas much appreciated!

Yup - that's the sort. It occured to me whilst watching Eurovision on Saturday Dita von Tesse - though just the face/make up style and netting! (Yes, of course, I could make one myself! Great idea)

Any make up experts? Do I splash out on longlash mascara - does it work? Or shall I buy my first ever pair of false eyelashes?

And what lippy is recommended to give me a very bold colour and to last? Kinda Dulux effect, I'm thinking?

And do I need to buy face powder to achieve a 1940's look, or can I use my foundation?!
