Help! Nice Day Nice Things - Spanish fashion brand

Hi there,

Am posting on MN in desperation: Am coveting a dress from this Spanish brand, but the local shop that stocks it doesn't have it in my size and isn't getting any more in. Doh! Has anyone else come across it? Does anyone know of another UK stockist?? Have already looked online, but they only sell through stores. Urgently needed for wedding attire (well, I guess I could choose something else, but it's sooo perfect.... apart from the size, that is ).

Thanks for your help.

Marmite.

I live in Spain but never heard of that brand. Can you tell me which stores they sell through? If there's a stockist locally I could go and have a look for it...

Have to watch a film now but will check back later...

Thanks SM. I think they're in Barcelona (main store), Madrid and Valencia. They also have concessions in places like El Corte Ingles. If you haven't come across them maybe they're quite small. I thought I'd be able to find another UK stockist, but I can't find one online. I think they might have rebranded recently as Nice Day Paloma S.

hi marmite

you could try contacting their PR person:

PRESS
Aída Méndez
[email protected]
+34 932 157 479

if you say you are a freelance journalist/ stylist and that you're interested to know where they stock in the UK, that could be a start?

Otherwise you could call their sales person and ask the sae qu'

SALES
Aminatha Bojang
+34 932 157 479

not sure how up-to-date those contacts are though...

Thanks LTEC. Coincidently I actually am a freelance journalist but (sadly) reviewing outdoor gear (waterproofs, fleeces etc), rather than lovely girlie dresses - so that solution probably should already have occurred to me! Might give them a go tomorrow. Hope their English is a lot better than my Spanish !

oooh!! me too! The freelance journalist bit, not the waterproofs ... but I do write about girly dresses etc ... and end up buying the things I write about FAR too often. Might be safer for my bank balance if I DID do waterproofs.

let us know how you get on! what a shame we can't see the dress.

PS - they may even be able to send you the dress directly if you pay by card over the phone, worth a go?

marmitesandwiches · 16/05/2009 23:05

Well if you ever fancy swapping jobs to preserve said bank balance, I suppose I'd swap with you - but only because I'm incredibly generous and warm-hearted

here?

Shitemum · 17/05/2009 21:27

Sorry, forgot to check back here. Will see if the local Corte Inglés have that brand...

LetThemEatCake · 17/05/2009 21:52

that fish dress is available at Plumo ...maybe Plumo stock more of their stuff?

15% off at the mo, too ...

marmitesandwiches · 18/05/2009 18:05

Thanks for all your input. I love MN! You can post on quite obscure topics and still get lots of helpful replies .

Plumo and Nola don't have that particular dress but do have some fantastic alternatives - particularly Plumo. Why haven't I heard of them before??! Are they a fashionista journo secret?

Thanks for your offer SM. Let me know if they do stock the brand. I looked at the ECI website but nothing there, sadly.

Otherwise will definitely be scanning Plumo and justifying it on the basis of 15% off. Now which one do I like best....let me see...

OP posts:
LetThemEatCake · 18/05/2009 19:17

let us know which one you choose ... pretty sure it's free P&P at the mo, too ....

Am also pretty sure that I saw a waterproof in the latest Plumo catalogue ... tell them that you want to write it up and hit them up for a press discount...

marmitesandwiches · 18/05/2009 20:17

...actually quite a sexy waterproof, as they go. Currently reviewing women's running tops and wondering how I can spin it to get a freebie Bijoux dress. Looks quite loose - so could have good ease of movement??

Please tell me you're going to review the Black All in One thingie that comes with a free DVD (and by 'free' here we mean inluded in the £329 price tag).

I always look at that "20 outfits in one" thing and think ...HUH?? I'm just not convinced...

have you tried Hush, Pyjama Room, Wellicious for exercise gear? quite yummy, some of it ...

ahh, yes, the Bijoux dress. Such a pretty print, even on that insipid model!!!
