I've put some fake tan on my legs ready for a big girls day/night out later but fancy having a swim at the gym this morning. Will the tan have 'set' by then or will it all be washed away? I wont have time to do more later.

TIA

No. Definitely not.

thanks MrsMattie. Is that because it will just fade too quickly or is it because it will go a funny colour?

It might go streaky.

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 17/05/2009 18:17

I owuldn't risk it. Could go streaky. Let it dry 12 hours before doing anything like that.

noddyholder · 17/05/2009 18:31

no

mckenzie · 17/05/2009 19:31

sorry if I'm sounding daft but just need to clarify...

no swimming within about 12 hours of applying but I can swim for example next day or day after with no worries. Is that correct?

Sorry, forgot about this thread. It just isn't worth the risk that it will a) wash off in the pool or b) go streaky, especially when you are drying off with a towel.

I've been fake tanning for years and I leave it for at least 8 hours, preferably 10-12, before getting wet.

thanks Mrs M but as I put it on friday evening I am safe to swim tomorrow, that's what i need to check please. Or is that now that I have fake tan on, I have to steer clear of chlorine filled pools until it has all wash off? TIA
