Petite just means "short ar$e". It's not commenting on the amount of cake you eat.

Lulumama · 14/05/2009 20:26

It's all relative

BunnyLebowski · 14/05/2009 20:50

Ah welcome to my world

It's Next petite jeans only for me too..

I would SO not describe myself as petite haha!

Lulumama · 14/05/2009 20:52

Which makes do 31" please? That would probably be perfect for me (most 32" do the puddle dragging thing, 30" err on the dodgy half mast look)

Lulumama · 14/05/2009 20:55

i got some from simplybe. i think dorothy perkins and M&S do them too

EvilRustyBear · 14/05/2009 21:02

I thought M&S short jeans were 29"?

If they're not, maybe I'm taller than I thought.

But I am definitely a short arse & I can't wear wide-legged trousers at all - they make nme look like a penguin...

Feelingoptimistic · 14/05/2009 21:20

Sorry, I don't really understand this...
I am petite and I never worry about the lenth of trousers and jeans - I just get them taken up to the perfect length.
Surely most people need to do that, because unless you are the "perfect" woman, they are always going to be at least a little bit too long or too short...

BunnyLebowski · 15/05/2009 10:29

Feelingoptimistic - I've dabbled with having jeans taken up but every time they've just looked not quite right.

Much easier to just buy petite jeans which are the perfect length for my deformed stumpy pins legs than to bother with the extra expense/hassle of alterations.

Also Next seems to be the only shop whose jeans fit me well and look nice - have given up trying anywhere else after too many disappointments to count!

fircone · 15/05/2009 11:18

Matalan!

Who would have thought it? Hundreds of jeans and trousers in all sorts of lengths, and really good prices.

I can never, ever find decent-length trousers. Petite are just that bit too short, and turning up jeans makes one look mega middle-aged (in denial emoticon).
