we usually have an annual fancy dress party/bbq every summer but this year are just doing a colour code - black and red

am going to buy something new so help me window shop

am size 16-18, 5ft6, 34e-f, olive skin tone

I am also toying with idea of suggesting to DP we nip to the register office in the morning and then announce it as a done deed when guests arrive. Have talked about doing this before BTW so DP won't have a heart attack when I suggest it.

Black and red dress code for BBQ is as we wear it a lot generally. Like BlueBanana shop and greenday, and weird vintage shops.

Structured? Floaty? Block colour or print?

Pick a decade or style which describes you best!

eek!

I don't know, I like 50's and 60's for dresses I guess.

Like most styles, bust area tends to veto some styles such as spaghetti straps. Halter necks hurt (but do wear them now and then), strapless tend to feel dangerous.

Hmm could you Gok up a dress like this with a wide black 50's style belt, some big black beads and patent heels. Then you'd still be able to wear at other times. Good style for boobage. Sorry if it's too tame!

A couple of red dresses here- a bit more dressy...
Good luck w registry office.

Thanks, I like the idea of gokking a dress. Could do that with red accessories and black dress.
