it is very flattering.

just thought i;d post this incase anyone else is looking s there are still some for sale on ebay, black and orange

same as this one.
here

i am so impressed.

i felt like it was a gamble as the person i brought from did not accpt returns and it cost me 67quid, which is quite alot for me.
and would have been gutting if it didnt fit or i hated it.
but the gamble paid off

would really reccomend this dress, im normally about a 12, and it really gives a great shape.

the colour is really lovely in RL much more of a rust colour.
nd as i have dark brown hair and eyes.
i think it really suits me.

now what shoes and earing etc shall i put with it?

if you're a gold coloured person then gold sandals/gold clutch

if a silvery person then perhaps pewter - not sure a bright sulver would work

in winter, purple would be amazing

JeanPoole · 13/05/2009 13:38

omg purple.

not sure i could carry that off.

good idea though.

what do you think to dark brown, as its a sort of browny orange iyswim?

OP posts:
LaurieFairyCake · 13/05/2009 14:13

would you consider bronzey brown? I think a shimmer would look good for summer

these are very nice but not sure of your size

plain brown wedges but shiny so may look really good

LaurieFairyCake · 13/05/2009 14:18

this fab coral bag

mixed print, think maybe a khaki pair of shoes would look nice too

Galava · 13/05/2009 14:21

Was the dress a 12 as well ?

It looks lovely.

I've got something coming up ... I might pop into KM and see what thay have got

JeanPoole · 13/05/2009 14:31

oh thanks for the ideas, you've come up with things i would never have thought of!

sorry to dissapper but my laaptop jsy went mad to i had to re boot.

i am loving the idea of bronz shoes
i'm size 4.
i do have pretty feet.
at least one part of my body i like!

galava, i got the dress im 14 as they do come up small.
i tried a dress on in km recentley so i knew a 14 wasn't too far off for me.
this one is not avalible in the shops aanymore, but there are some one new ones on ebay, might be worth a visit to km to get an idea of sizing before ordering though.

OP posts:
JeanPoole · 13/05/2009 15:00

i lov these shoes

too dear for me though.

OllieWollieWoo · 13/05/2009 16:05

Is it in KM at the moment? Its almost the same as an Oli (black) one I liked a few months - which promptly sold out so I missed not getting it!

If you are a 12 did you get a 12 or a 14 - thought KM came up small! I really love it!

OllieWollieWoo · 13/05/2009 16:06

Sorry JeanPoole - didnt read your last 12 posts re sizing and availability - got carried away by viewing link! Dur!

OllieWollieWoo · 13/05/2009 16:16

Look they have it in red on Oli:
here

JeanPoole · 13/05/2009 18:04

ollie wollie woo, oh yeah.
i think it looks a bit baggy on that oli model though, needs some one with some curves it give it some va va voom

if your after the black they have some on ebay.
what size?
do you wanat me to link a black one for you?
they call it the davina dress on ebay!

OP posts:
Galava · 13/05/2009 19:42

Could be OWW and me in an ebay bidding war

JeanPoole · 13/05/2009 20:36

galava

just had another look at it, its so nice, i don't normally buy dresses from shops that cost that much, but you can really see the qualitity, the zip is hidden on the side its lined, most dresses i get from warehouse etc are not lined and the fabric is lovely, nice and heavy

i must buy this kind of qualitity more

Galava · 14/05/2009 12:02

I've just come back from a shopping trip

I've got the pink strappy one in the shops atm, with one shoulder strap. It wraps around in all the right places and looks fab !

It was full price though .... never mind.

You are EXACTLY right about the quality, its gorgeous and I cant wait to wear it. I'm going somewhere this weekend and had already bought a dress from TKMaxx ... so that will be going back now

Never thought about ebay ... but will remember it for the future.

JeanPoole · 14/05/2009 13:17

oh link please.

sounds lovely

where are you going to at the weekend somewhere lovely?

OP posts:
Clure · 14/05/2009 14:02

Galava · 14/05/2009 14:18

Its for a charity dinner on Friday at a local castle.

Just hope the weather stays nice ... otherwise I'll freeze !

JeanPoole · 14/05/2009 14:26

clure thankyou.
those shoes are lovely.
i really ike those.

id have to see the bags though iyswim.

galava, WOW! that is stunning.
i want that one too.

oh i bet you will have a fab time this weekend.
what shoes etc are you going to wear with that?
theres just something about the material that give you a great shape.
where you looking a km before, or have i egged you on to buy that dress?
i will definatley look in that shop again, although probably viaa ebay!
maybe i canab get that dress next year!

i really brought my dress for holidays but we are going away next weekend, fancy hotel and restaurant in sandbanks.
i will be wearing that dress
yay can't wait.

OP posts:
Galava · 14/05/2009 14:31

Its all your fault

I have only looked in KM once before, but it was for LO's christening and my norks were too big for any of the dresses at the time as I was still feeding him !

I like the aqua one too, nut they didnt have it in the shop.

I've got a strappy high silver shoes or some pink mules with flowers on... I've not decided exactly which ones yet... but will probably be the silver.

I thought I could ebay it when I've worn it a couple of times, that way it kinda justifies it cost

You are going to look like you own one of those fab pads down there next weekend. Enjoy !

JeanPoole · 14/05/2009 14:40

oh i am happy to have egged you on to buy that stunning dress

we could make good shopping partners we have similar taste

i think silver would look fab.

i hope the weather stays nice for you

Ooo - gorgeous dress Galava. Love the shape and colour.

Am feeling decidedly left out now on the Karen Millen dress front - am v tempted by the black Davina one on ebay - no occassion to buy it for but vowed at the beginning of the year to look for the perfect little black dress and was a bit miffed I lost out of the Oli one in black when they sold out (had no idea it was in KM too as like you Galava, I never really look in there!).

JeanPoole · 14/05/2009 15:42

ollie, i think you should get the dress, you never know when you will need a lovely black dress.

i never normally go in there except when looking for something for a speical occasion.
might start looking in there more now though

OP posts:
Scootergrrrl · 14/05/2009 15:50

It's such a lovely dress. Might have to get one - it'll get renamed the Mumsnet dress

JeanPoole · 14/05/2009 15:56

yay scootergirl!

we will have to have a little meet up.

somewhere glamourous of course.
