I have longish fine, straight, highlighted hair that always seems to look "flat" and "lifeless"

What products can you suggest to add shine and body please?

hi, i use curl spray, as it plumps up the curls and makes it look noce and shinney
i have long hair, dark brown curls.

i know they are old school but, i like hot oils really condition the hair

have you tried them?

have you tried drying upside down for volume?

MaggsS · 13/05/2009 15:13

Have tried drying upside down but goes flat again soon after drying.

Wish I had curls

can you do anything to curl your hair?
or is it dead straight?
curls do add volume and fullness

have you asked your hairdresser for advice?

maybe a cut or layering or colouring would do the trick?

Get your hairdresser to teach you a bit about blowdrying. That makes a massive difference. If I spend proper time drying my hair it looks shiny and thick. 5 mins drying and it looks Worzel Gummidge.

It is dead straight. I have tried putting in curlers to add volume and to some degreee that works but falls out after a couple of hours.

Can anyone recommend products to help?

i have a friend with dead straight hair, whi can't really do things like up it up etc as it just falls down etc.

she hates it, but it always looks lovely and neat to me and all she needs to do is brush it int he am and she looks neat and done.

but ask your hairdresser, they might be able to colour it or something in a way that adds volum like highlights etc.

none.

can't be bothered.
