plaits trendy shocker

i thought of all the mn style rulesetters hyperventilating and rushing to qualify it with "only if you're under 25" or somesuch, and i have to say i felt a tiny bit smug about wearing my plaits last night even though as i was putting them in i knew i was turning to the dark side of the anti-mn

so who else is wearing their plaits with pride?

I wish my hair would go like Jennifers My hair has 2 states...frizzy or straightened to within an inch of its life. It's so stiff it doesn't move, even when it's long.

LetThemEatCake · 10/05/2009 17:24

me!! always, at the ripe old age of 36.

Can't be arsed with blow-drying/ straightening and my hair is too fine & fluffy to be left to its own devices

Jen's hair looks heaven in that pic

i've got a great plait-bun type thing i do where i make low pony tails, then plait half way down each one (it's very long) and secure in the elastic on the opposite side. then i plait the rest and tuck into the elastic on the other side. so i have 4 plaits secured side to side at the nape of my neck, i think it looks kewl and now it's trendy too

they're right about how the waves are fab when you take them out too.

I only wear plaits in the house because I am 40 my hair is so thick that I look like one of St Trinians (the orginals)! I plait it wet, sleep on it and unravel next morning. If there are any frizzy bits I quickly wave them with the straighteners.

I love boho hair, I agree that Jen looks lovely in that pic.

mwff · 10/05/2009 19:45

tbf i'm amazed that the word "boho" hasn't died a death a long time ago, but i guess it's a useful phrase that denotes relaxed but not as horizontal/antifashion as hippy

I like plaits

my hair's quite thin though, I never managed huge fat thick ones. So I either have little ones occasionally in my hair (it's long/wavy) or else do a single one at the back and then fold it up into a bun thing.
