Dress advice needed

I really like this dress and would like to buy it to wear for a wedding in September but hopefully by then I will be 6 months pregnant.
'm a slim size 8 now, in fact I think that a size 8 in this might be too big now, so what size do you think would fit me by 6 months gone? In my last pregnancy I wore my normal clothes quite far, I remember wearing maternity trousers from around 24 weeks.

Have you seen or touched the dress in the shops? Is the material stretchy? I didn't buy any maternity clothes when I was pregnant, and just wore the dresses I owned which were made of jersey and other soft material and stretched over my (admittedly quite small) bump.

You sound slim; how big was your bump last time? They do say you have "muscle memory" which means you get bigger faster, apparently.

I'd say, if the material is stretchy, buy it in your size.

my bump has been bigger more quickly with each pregnancy (currently 4th). I was still in normal jeans at 20 weeks with 1st, but in mat jeans at 14-15 weeks this time.

Having said that, you sound v.slim and as Penth says, if the material is stretchy you may well be fine. if you think the 8 would be too big on your right now then it may well be fine once you've expanded a bit.

I've seen it in the shop, it's a jersey type fabric but didn't have much give in it iyswim.

Hmm. Well, maybe buy a size up...?
