Please tell me what hair product I need

I have thick, shortish, slightly wavy, dry hair (with highlights). I use a good shampoo and conditioner but I don't know what to use on it when I blow dry it.

I want something that will make it look glossy, help keep it conditioned and hold it's shape. It tends to go a bit haywire if left to its own devices.

Do I need mousse (have always found this a bit sticky), hair serum, leave in conditioner, wax or what? What make would you recommend?

I am very confused by the array of hair stuff available these days.

You need to deep condition your hair at least weekly. Olive oil works wonders!

Shampoo & conditioner - professional brand - i.e from a salon. They cost more but ARE better IMO (especially worthwhile if, like me, you have 'difficult' hair!)

Then, I have found GHD thermal protection spray (may not be the exact right name, but you get the drift) to work well, sprayed on before drying/ straightening etc.

Then if any frizz left at the end (highly likley with me) smooth on a serum or glossing product, Aveda ones are good.

HTH.

Have your tried a shine spray? This one is good and as it's not oily it doesn't make hair feel greasy. Just use a quick light spray and avoid your roots.

Am liking the sound of the GHD thermal protector for dry/course hair. Sounds just what I need.

How would I deep condition with olive oil? Put it on before washing/after washing or what?

Thanks for your help.
