Simple canvas shoes for littlies...

dairymoo · 08/05/2009 21:01

I'm looking for some quite simple canvas shoes for my toddlers - something like these but would like ideally like something other than these colours, maybe yellow, green or purple?

Does anyone know a company that sells similar? TIA

You can get Converse trainers for littlies, not the same I know.

nancy75 · 08/05/2009 21:04

you would think these would be the easiest things to buy, but i have been searching for 3 years with no luck, so will be watching with interest!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 08/05/2009 21:07

any of these any good?

dairymoo · 08/05/2009 21:07

Yeah, I like converse for me but can't be doing with laces for toddlers, especially as I have twins who need to be restrained whenever shoes are applied.

clarkes doodles?
or shoe zone similar for £5 instead of £12+

dairymoo · 08/05/2009 21:09

BALD, I really want some that are a little more 'open' IYKWIM, so that their sweaty little feet don't get too hot. Thanks though, will bookmark for autumn.

You can get velcro Converse. Let me look, hold on...

dairymoo · 08/05/2009 21:12

Doodles are never just plain colours, are they? Am quite picky I know...

dairymoo · 08/05/2009 21:14

If I wanted to spend £16 I'd just get these but would rather cheaper, if poss.

Complete change of tack

Crocs

easy on,easy off, easy clean, v cute on toddlers

EachPeachPearMum · 08/05/2009 21:27

vertbaudet usually have them

dairymoo · 08/05/2009 21:32

Yup - we have some fake crocs already which I agree are brilliant, just wanted something that can be worn with little dresses and not look too beachy but still maintain reasonable levels of comfort.

Will have a look at vertbaudet, thanks

Actually, we're off to France at the end of the month, do you think it would be worth holding out until then and having a look in the hypermarche?

nancy75 · 08/05/2009 21:39

dairymoo, the only time i have ever managerd to find these shoes has been in spain, so france may be a good bet, i just checked vertbaudet and they take at least 4 weeks to post, so should get them just in time for winter!

NoNameNoOtherAlias · 08/05/2009 21:43

The Start Rite ones aren't fully plain but are cute designs and fit well IME.

MadameCastafiore · 08/05/2009 21:51

Vans - here do loads of styles and colours.

M&S here got those for DS as they go with his Skater Boy Persona!

White Co. here or here

dairymoo · 08/05/2009 21:57

Thanks all, think I might have to chance it in France. I like these from vertbaudet but the shipping time is too long. Like the White Co girls ones too...

Stock on the boden shoes you linked to is patchy but if they have the ones you want you could use code TYOU to get the two pairs for a fairly reasonable £22 delivered

SandyChick · 10/05/2009 12:59

Next??

lambanana · 10/05/2009 14:53

I have these for my 23month old DD2. They go with everything and are very hard wearing.

dairymoo · 10/05/2009 20:49

I like the next ones actually, especially the turquoise pair they have. And thanks for the Boden code too!
