you need to purchse petticoats seperately but not in pastels

chatname · 08/05/2009 20:03

These can have pouffy petticoats added?

~

BunnyLebowski · 08/05/2009 20:04

You could get one of these?

net petticoat

Would add that extra 50's volume you're after to any dress

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 08/05/2009 20:06

Have you tried Laura Ashley? IIRC, they have a pale pink one in the sale here so it's worth looking where you live.

jemart · 08/05/2009 20:14

Thanks for the links everyone. I'm really taken with that red polka dot dress, perhaps a change of plan is in order......

OP posts:
jemart · 08/05/2009 20:19

or are red polka dots unsuitable or weddings?

OP posts:
BoysAreLikeDogs · 08/05/2009 20:20

No not unsuitable at all

you will look fabulous

jemart · 08/05/2009 20:31

Right then dots it is!
I will need a hat/hair accessory and shoes to match, any ideas?

OP posts:
BoysAreLikeDogs · 08/05/2009 20:37

a hair clip with a feather/fleur

shoes and bag in black - you may strike it lucky by being able to match the red in which case hurrah but not v likely

even in my linkie you can see they have teamed with black

(white shoes a no no)

I was going to say Vivien of Holloway on ebay - but her sizing is really odd. Massive bazoongers and tiny waist (very 50's in fact!) so I've never been seriously tempted. Lovely frocks though.
