I want a dress with a nod to India - rather than full-on fancy dress - for a Bollywood party

I'm thinking clever and subtle - just a gesture towards the theme - rather than a sari which I just wouldn't carry off. Any thoughts?

Think I've found it - this in green - have tried it on and the material, colour and embellishment, plus the cut-out back, do look really quite Indian (more so than the photo implies). Am going to go to town with the makeup and accessories, and hope for the best

(As long as it fits ok - it was far too small so I've ordered the 3 next sizes up!)
