Hi, does anyone know if you can still buy Monsoon perfume - was in a small blue-ish bottle with a conical top? I wore it when I got married in 1996 but can't find it anywhere now (my local Accessorize said they weren't sure if other branches of Accessorize/Monsoon were still doing it). A friend of a friend seems to think Boots might have taken it on? Can anyone shed any light?! Thanks so much.

The old one used to sell on ebay for £££...I mean £100 a half bottle. not sure whether there is any still about, and if there is whether it would still the same as its been discontinued for a good 10 years.

I feel your pain, its my favourite smell... an ex bought me a bottle off ebay about 5 years back - £120 - I was furiuos!

geordieminx · 08/05/2009 20:34

There are a few on ebay, looking at the completed listings full bottles seem to go for between £20 and £30 so not too bad, as long as it isnt "off"..

I used to love this one too. Haven't tried the new one so don't know how similar it is. I hate it when they discontinue perfumes - I also used to love the original Missoni one, which you can't get any more.

apologies discoball....had obv seen the new one in the chemists window

discoball · 09/05/2009 12:14

No probs pollywobbledoodle, will try that one anyway!! Thank you for your replies and to everyone else who has taken the trouble to respond - much appreciated.

It's so annoying when this happens isn't it. I lived in spain for a while and I wore eau de givenchy for that period. I would LOVE to get my hands on a bottle of eau de givenchy, but it's been discontinued. it was such a lovely lovely scent too. Ysatis and amarige.and all the other awful ones still available.

discoball · 09/05/2009 12:21

Totally agree, MsMargotBeauregarde!! I must admit, I do love Rive Gauche (not sure if I've spelt that correctly?!

the new one in the red bottle is lovely though

I think that rive gauche is an YSL scent but I'm not sure.

What new perfume in a red bottle??
