Spray tans, are they any good, what do they cost, and what do you wear during the process?

Depends on you and your skin tone.

I have olive skin and I like California Tan. I think that it is pricey at £25 a go but it looks really natural and I look healthy but not orange.

I have had a £12.50 job that looked horrendous and was blotchy within a couple of hours.

I just wear the paper knickers that the salon provides.

I always feel slightly ridiculous getting sprayed but do it for special occasions such as weddings etc.

Thanks 369, how long does it last?

I am fair skinned, I just want a slight tan so I dont look ill and ghostly.

I get a st tropez spray on tan for special events, and I am pale, and get the colour applied twice. St Tropez fake tans include alot of green colour, so basically this fades out the orange.

I wear the paper knickers they provide, and the hair cap. I don't wear anything else.

Do go home in I wear strapless bra, loose trousers, loose top and flip flops.

I think it is definately worth it. I usually st trop myself in the summer, but the result from a spray on tan is flawless, and allows you to wear anything since your boobs are tanned, your bum is tanned, your neck etc etc. The only advise I have, is only get a brand named tan like St Tropez. There is no point scrimping on it, if the result is anything less than perfect.

Best thing to do is give it a go when you have not got an event, and then you will know what to expect. I have had about 8 spray tans using the st tropez and have always been very very happy.

Sorry Who I was offline.

I would get it done the day before you want to look tanned. It lasts about 3 days.

I like Xen Tan, it looks like a natural tan and not a tango effect.

St Tropez spray tan is the best i have worked with.It costs about £25 but shop around as salons often run offers on it.

Before going for a tan you need to have exfoliated and done any shaving/waxing.Wear loose dark clothing.Take flip flops to put on afterwards.Whilst having the tan you can wear whatever you feel comfortable in some clients prefer to stand there naked as they want no lines wheras others will wear a bikini.

When its done i advise not putting your bra back on if you have opted to go without as it can rub and make sure you kick off your shoes as soon as your home as feet sweat.

Hope that helps.

It lasts between seven and ten days. With the st tropez one exfoliate every third day to make sure it fades evenly and moisturise daily.Would recommend using the st tropez exfoliater/moisturiser as well.
