I'm looking for new stuff for myself. Everywhere I look online it seems to be the same type of stuff. Are there any interesting but not too expensive shops I could look at.

My style errs towards the sloppy dress/jeans and smock type.
I'm a size 10 and 5'5".

I like 50's inspired looks too... slim trousers, pretty tops though I tend towards the smocky style for comfort.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Tansen always looks nice.

For something quite different try Desigual. Its Spanish but they have 2 shops in London (not sure if that helps you)
here

Lots of bold colours and prints - stuff looks much better on. Just back from trip to Spain and its v popular - easy to spot where people you saw in the street had brought their tops and dresses from etc but they did look good - except those who were dressed head to toe in it and that was just too much!

Lots of smocky tops and other 50s stuff here

I like La Redoute for slightly more interesting stuff,(it's French so has a slightly different aesthetic to most UK high street catalogues) and it's generally pretty cheap as well.

How about joe Browns

Thanks for those ideas. I'll have a good look later when the girls are in bed.
