Nude nailvarnish

I have spent the weekend (obviously in amongst things) noticing lots of chic french women with amazing nails. I have concluded that they're wearing nude nail varnish.

Is this correct? What do people recommend?

I've tried this a couple of times, it either looks wishy washy or makes my nails look dead. I think they probably have very subtle French manicures. Mine are never subtle.

I use Dior Vernis in Coconut 108. Gorgeous.

We file and use clear polish....or have french manicures. But to get tht done most women I know have at least a weekly manicure appointment (I do mine myself when I can be bothered!).

I'd recommend never washing up etc without gloves, using handcream after every handwash, extra cream before bed massaged into nails/ cuticles. Every 2 nights quickly file, apply a coat of light pinky/ creamy nail polish and a coat of clear and your nails will always look good, takes 5 mins max. I think it's the regular care that makes all the difference

Thanks will try these things out. At the moment, my nails look TERRIBLE, cuticles growing up all over the place. Their hands just all looked so lovely.

I vouch for those buffer things too. I can't wear nail varnish for work and I find these bring my nails up to a lovely shine.
They also seem to be stronger since I've been using it. It isn't this one , but a rectangular block, I got it off e-bay
