I need to find a fake tan that is easy to apply - any recommendations

I have some kind of mental block with fake tan. I usually have a spray tan for a special occasion, but my usual lady won't do it as I am within my first trimester with dc2. So it looks like I am going to have to bite the bullet and do it myself.

I have (unsuccessfully) tried Fake Bake and St. Tropez, but am looking for something with a more subtle coverage. I don't like those body moisturiser ones either.

Does anyone use a foolproof product? For fools.

TIA

I use Asda's own, it's less than £3. I'm very pale and use the light to medium, got lots of compliments about how healthy I looked

Oooh, and cheap too! I like it!

Loreal dry mist is good, as is the ambre solais one. But, I use St trpz because I think it achieves the most natural golden tan colour (not orange) so if you didn't like that one, I think it is unlikely you will like a cheaper one. Saying that, there is a new piz buin one that has a dial where you can choose the colour (and it mixes tan and moisterisor to achieve colour) maybe read up on that one?

I have v. pale skin and St Tropez looks awful on me. I've used Christian Dior natural glow self tan for a few years now and love it, I look healthy and it doesn't smell too bad either!

Clarins self tanning gel is great natural colour

Have you tried St Tropez in mousse form? It goes on veh well, especially if you use disposable glurves.

i always use garnier and its half price at tesco at the mo..£2.44

i dont call it fake tan, its a tan enhancer if anyone asks

The new everyday st tropez mousse is fab. You apply it every day and after about 5 days you get a light golden glow.

It also smells ok which is amazing for a fake tan.

I'm naturally very pale and i find this gives a nice golden glow rather than an obvious fake tan.

The secret to using the Johnson & Johnson one is ,,,,,only apply it every other day. it doesn't go streaky this way (but always goes streaky if applied everyday)
