Chafing Thighs. (Nice)

Am pregnant and fat.

Wore a skirt yesterday and could hardly walk for the sweaty chafing between my thighs.

What do I need? Talc? Vaseline? Lipo?

I found talc did the trick. Cheaper and less invasive than lipo

hazeyjane · 01/05/2009 09:28

I don't know if you can still get it but Avent liquid talc is brilliant for thights that rub together, lasts for ages too.

Picante · 01/05/2009 09:29

Am so bored of trousers and need a bit more airing.

I had some "comfort shorts", basically tights that end above the knee so can't be seen, you look bare legged

PinkyMinxy · 01/05/2009 09:33

I chopped tights down and wore them when I was pg- though this may negate the 'airing' effect

PinkyMinxy · 01/05/2009 09:33

x-posts!

Picante · 01/05/2009 09:38

Excellent idea but can you get maternity tights?

PinkyMinxy · 01/05/2009 09:46

yes, I used some old ones I had.

cocolepew · 01/05/2009 09:47

I read on here last year to spray deodorant on your thighs.

Thanks ladies I shall experiment with some of these ideas later and create a chafometer.

cocolepew · 01/05/2009 10:08

too much time on my hands

LauriefairycakeeatsCupid · 01/05/2009 10:09

spanx legged ones to knee - think there ar some types that are airy crotchless

Amandoh · 01/05/2009 11:05

A couple of days ago I heard Fern Britton talking about how her thighs used to rub when she was heavier and that she used to wear comfort shorts from Evans.

Amandoh · 01/05/2009 11:08

Just to clarify...

She was on tv when I heard her. I wasn't eavesdropping.

Sudocrem is good too - anything for nappy rash would probably work. Keeps the friction to a minimum.

MadameCastafiore · 01/05/2009 11:58

Runnerlube should do the trick as it is supposed to stop stuff rubbing - ooohhh like men's nipples when they are running the marathon!

Picante · 01/05/2009 12:15

Thanks all, looks like comfort shorts is the way to go!

There is a cream I remember from the tv last summer -- it was advertsed as an anti chafing cream (there was a large lass in the ad). I think it is Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Relief Powder-Gel.

ninedragons · 02/05/2009 14:20

I don't think talc sounds like a good idea.

Possible cancer link

kittycats · 02/05/2009 20:14

You can get a cream/gel called lanacane i think, its a yellow tube its especially for this. I got mine from boots.
