Handbag to match shoes?

I have borrowed a lovely outfit for a wedding - cream dress with turquoise/green print/embroidery, turquoisey green shoes and a green wrap.

I need a bag. I don't have a clue about style and beauty!! Do I try and match the bag to the shoes? Does it need to be close to perfect or would I get away with a nearly? Or should I just get a cream one?

you could do silver with those colours... much better to do a different but complementary colour than to try and get turquoise which will almost inevitably be the 'wrong' shade of turquoise

Have now been to town. Was heading for Accessorize for a nice metallic bag but it wasn't open til 9.30. Went into M&S to pass some time and they had a clutch bag in EXACTLY the same colour and similar fabric as the shoes - it looks like they were made for each other! I was delighted, especially as it was £5!

Just have to hope I can squeeze into the dress now.
