Short(ish) hair with a round face?

My hair is currently just below my shoulders. Its very straight (naturally) and I have a full blunt fringe with longer layers. I want it cut a little bit shorter so its more of a long bob but I have a fat rather round face and I don't want to look like a nob.

I've got a big round moonhead. Its looking much better framed by short hair. I've a longer fringy bit that comes onto my face. Short at back cut into neck

I like the Jessica Alba one. I don't know if I can give up the easyness of hair I can stick in a ponytail although would be v.glam and adult of me .

I have lots of fine hair so too many layers and it goes very mullety (mmmm attractive!)

Also glasses are ishoo with fringe because as soon as it sits on them it starts to part and do all sorts of funny things which mean I look like a nob.

I personally think that a 'moon' face looks ok with short hair only if there is a modicum of length at the back that can be seen at the nape of the neck. Shaven necks and round faces do not go together, it will make the face look even rounder.
