so most of my fave clothes will be out of action for the next year until I have this baby and get back to normal size.

Aside from mothballs, how can I protect my clothes? Or are mothballs the only way?

They don't like cedar apparently, so you could put cedar balls or discs in with your clothes.

I've also heard they dislike bay leaves.

Moth balls 'run out' after a while, but cedar wood doesn't and you can sand them down a bit to re boot them IYSWIM. I think I got my cedar wood discs from Asda a few years ago.
