im quite pale and have combination skin (always have bags due to the ds's!) and i have tried numerous foundations and i just cant seem to get a great coverage that doesnt look caked on? My sister raves about minerals foundation powder thingy, i think loreal? It looks nice on here but she has nice skin, is it worth me forking out on?

Also i am using max factor eye liner which supposedly is long lasting, but it is still worn away by the afternoon. Have also tried the loreal one. I use the stylo or what ever they call it? Not liquid but it is in plastic that you twist the top to get it out?

Shu Umera do an eyeliner that is like a pen and it is hell on earth to get off - that may be the one you need!

MAC do minerals make up - why not go and get them to do your face one day and then see how you think you look?

I use Lily Lolo mineral foundation - was recommended it by another MNer and I really like it, you can add more coverage where you need it and it's very natural looking. I get it online, you can order little tester pots so you don't have to commit to a big spend. I got the two I reckoned were closest to my skintone so I could choose the best match once I'd tried them. I also use their powder (when I bother with powder, which isn't that often, I find the foundation gives quite a good matte finish and lasts well).

I was going to suggest MAC too, they do have an online store. I have very hooded eyes so almost all other liner transfer to my upper lid. I wear Grey Utility. Its a good all-rounder for most eye colours / skin types. I've not tired mineral make up. I wear Chanel Mat Lumiere and it suits my oily / comb skin fine. If you have a problem with coverage and caking, I would suggest a concealer where extra coverage is needed, rather than applying more foundation.
