Can we talk Spanx please?

I've just bought my first pair in anticipation of shopping for a wedding next month. Since the birth of DD2 I have saggy skin on my tummy and a tummy bluge that starts from right under my bust, as well as carrying more weight that I'd like on my tummy and hips. Lovely!

I got the high-waisted knickers, and I'm happy that they don't create any weird lines or bulges where they finish. But there seems to be a tighter section that has more lycra - should this go around my waist? Or is this for the under-tummy sag? It also doesn't seem to be doing much for the under-bust bulge. Should I have bought a waist cincher instead? Can anything reduce it? Or is surgery the only option? (Perhaps not a good idea for a wedding in less than a month )

Bump
Really need help here - I thought that Spanx would magically restore my tummy - am I doing something wrong? - how else can I hide it?

I have the spanx giant cycling short ones that come up to your bust - highly recommended. You do get some funny lines if they're the wrong size though - annoyingly I now need to slim into mine! They're not completelyl miracle though, but they do help!

I don't know which ones you have, but you really want this

I have the giant cycling short things and they are brilliant - seem to keep tummy and thighs in check. My biggest problem is evil love handles of doom, and they smooth them out.

I find with the knicker shaped ones that they dig into my thighs, but I do have fairly chunky thighs for my size, so that might just be me.
