I need some fab shoes to go with this dress, and I have size 9 feet...... Can anyone help?

I ahve just bought this dress to wear to three weddings this summer. I love it but don't have any suitable shoes. I have size 9 feet, which makes shoe shopping a bit of a nightmare at the best of times. I'm also 5ft 11, so don't want anything too high. Does anyone have any ideas where I can start looking?

Have you tried long tall sally?

jkklpu · 28/04/2009 21:49

beautiful dress
Hobbs? (I've had size 8.5 feet since I was about 12 and it's been the bane of my life)

LetThemEatCake · 28/04/2009 21:53

these go up to a 9, as do lots of faith shoes

I am just under 5'11" and always tower over everyone because I love high heels so much, do you really not like to wear them?

these are only a 2-inch heel if 4" is too high

MeMySonAndI · 28/04/2009 21:54

Size 8 here and definitively... also the bane of my life... in big ocassions (weddings/balls) I used to find some shoes i liked and then find a dress to math them to (far easier than the other way around).

That Long Tall Sally website looks good!

crankytwanky · 28/04/2009 21:57

I'd go for a wedge, as spiky heels just sink into the grass, and you're bound to encounter some lawn at some point.

I'd go for these

www.evans.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=true&catalogId=205 54&storeId=12553&categoryId=79945&parentcategoryrn=69588&productId=1167162&langId=-1

I think lots of Evan's shoes go up to a 10, so plenty to choose from including flats.

Beautiful dress, btw!

mrsmaidamess · 28/04/2009 21:57

I know you said no heels but how fab would you look rockin up with these babies on

with matching suede clutch, obviously

geekgirl · 28/04/2009 21:58

pa, size 8 or 9. Try having size 10s! I have to travel 35 miles to the nearest shoe shop that stocks my size, it's a flipping nightmare and so expensive. www.medissashoes.com has a good selection...

mrsmaidamess · 28/04/2009 21:58

those silver evans ones are ok if you are 65 plus

Rindercella · 28/04/2009 21:58

Lovely dress - I wore something v similar from Monsoon for DH's big b'day party last year.

Have you tried Office? I have recently got some size 42 (apparently a size 9!) from there recently. Not sure if they will have the style you are after though.

Or, how about L K Bennett They have some fab shoes & go up to a size 42.

geekgirl · 28/04/2009 21:59

Evans shoes are mega-wide, just so you know...

LetThemEatCake · 28/04/2009 21:59

please don't wear a wedge with that dress......

mrsmaidamess · 28/04/2009 21:59

pink shoes blue dress and this clutch

mrsmaidamess · 28/04/2009 22:00

I agree, no wedges.

crankytwanky · 28/04/2009 22:01

Or these!

www.evans.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=true&catalogId=205 54&storeId=12553&categoryId=152463&parentcategoryrn=69588&productId=1161183&langId=-1

jennylindinha · 28/04/2009 22:02

Try Barratts these are just for example but they seem to do a lot of styles in size 9 and even 10.

Strappy ones here.

mrsmaidamess · 28/04/2009 22:02

No evans Shoes! They are rank

mrsmaidamess · 28/04/2009 22:05

Purple LK Bennets are nice.

That medissa website is awful! geekgirl is that really where you have to get your shoes from? You have my sympathies!

Rindercella · 28/04/2009 22:06

these are nice

more expensive, but (imo) fab

mrsmaidamess · 28/04/2009 22:07

But OP is a 9

jennylindinha · 28/04/2009 22:09

Geekgirl, have a look at Barratts - Big Shoe Boutique here for you! (I don't work for them by the way...)

Rindercella · 28/04/2009 22:09

Sorry, just realised the second pair are sold out of size 42. as I want a pair!

crankytwanky · 28/04/2009 22:17

at the lack of love for the Evans shoes!

I can't walk in heels, so go for comfort usually. I'm only 28!

LetThemEatCake · 28/04/2009 22:20

really, really no evans shoes. For women with callouses and bunions and horn-like toenails. By which I mean- they are horrid and that dress is mega-pretty and feminine.
Those turquoise stud monsters are fit only for the beach, if that.

That dress needs hot pink (for a statement) or silver shoes (to go with the delicate, ethereal vibe, which as a tall yeti is always nice to be able to tap into, I should know....)

LetThemEatCake · 28/04/2009 22:22

at £££ of LK Bennett. You could just about buy a pair of Choos for that!!!

missblythe · 28/04/2009 22:32

these?
