Help me persuade DH...

...that a black pin strip work suit is NOT the thing to wear to a wedding next weekend.

Need some ideas of what he can wear. Does he NEED a jacket/suit or can he get away with trousers and shirt/tie?

We are going to the whole thing and it's a registry office followed by hotel reception if that makes any difference.

What's wrong with the suit? Is it a bit past it/scruffy/well washed?

(like some of my own dh's everyday work wear)

If in any doubt (imo) a man should wear a suit to a wedding. If, on arrival, the wedding turns out to be very informal, the man can remove jacket etc.

OK - a suit it is.

Just not his grotty everyday work one! I think that is where my problem lies. It is also a bit big now, so maybe he needs to go out early Sat morning and buy a new one.
