I've only been to one and I was about 12 at the time so irrelevant in terms of planning my outfit.

It is mid June, and with trendy types. Complicated rather by the fact that I will be about 14 days away from giving birth. Any advice?

the last christening I went to last year, I went in sunday best quite formal. I was the most overdressed there by a ruddy mile.

People now just wear smart casual if that christening was anything to go by, and one of the godfathers was in jeans

I also went to a christening a few years back when I was 2 weeks from due with ds1. I wore a huge maternity dress with a nice cardigan.

I went to a christening last year and was over dressed. I wore a smart skirt and top and a jacket, not quite as smart as I would for a wedding, but still smart. DH and I were far smarter than anyone else. It was smart casual as flibberty says.

Having said that I am going to my niece's christening this weekend and I am going to wear a wrap dress and a jacket.

Can you find out what the normal dress code is at the church in question? Some churches still do Sunday best smart and some are more casual.

Smart casual definitely.
Our boys were christened last year and people mainly wore linen trews/tunic top.
I was v over dressed in my Monsoon get up
Went to another one recently and it was much the same.
