Title says it all really....

I am 5ft nothing, size 10 and cannot seem to find nice jeans.

Thing is, I don't know what really suits - should I be wearing them on the hip, on the waist, straight legs, boot cut?

I don't like Next jeans although I do have a pair out of desparation and them doing a petite range.

Will spend about £60 or am I out of touch with prices on good jeans?

I am the same size and I buy jeans that fit and have them shortened to the right length. For what its worth I like Diesel jeans . Also Topshop and they come in 30 leg

Topshop again. the big store in Oxford Circus is great - with a huge jeans dept. I've had TS, Levis and Wranglers that fit. BUT I do content myself with trimming a few inches from the hem, if required.

I'm shorter than you and have found Sevens bootcut jeans great - they make me look and feel taller . Had to pay extra to have them taken up though

Don't laugh but I am also 5 foot 0.5 inch, a size 10 and very pear shaped and I find M&S jeans fit me a treat.

Most jeans seem to be designed for women that are fairly straight with no bum. I have a roundy shapely bottom, heavy thighs, a small waist and ok hips; most jeans gape at the waist, are too tight across the backside and I spend most of the day hitching them up, whereas M&S jeans fit me a treat.

I also found Principles jeans fit me well - I got mine on Ebay, I'm not sure if Principles are still trading?

I'm 5'1 ,size 8 but with a shapely bum, and i really love River Island jeans. They come in short leg, their bootcut and straight leg jeans are flattering

Topshop Eva petite - light or dark bootcut, v. nice.

Dorothy Perkins! Their jeans are fab for a short person (I;m 5 foot nithing too)

general guidance (mostly obvious)extrasmall.wordpress.com/2007/11/08/short-legs/

I always try Republic www.republic.co.uk/ as their own brand (I think it is anyway) - "crafted" always carriess short leg lengths and has new trends. M&S tend to be good and cut well for most shapes, but they don't always have bang up to date shapes (at least not in all the store)

I'm a whisker under 5' and I'm between size 8 and 10. I am very short-waisted, so I avoid jeans which are on the waist - I look for ones which are below the waist, but not too low on the hip, because my hips are not curvy, so those kind never stay up on me! Boot cut look fine, so long as they aren't loose on the thigh.

I got jeans similar to these from DP (but black - I only buy black, and I see they're called skinny flares). I also have black straight leg, stretch Roma M&S jeans (they come up big, so size 8 is good) which don't seem to be online - they're surprisingly good. I suspect these could be quite a good fit. However, I only every buy cheap, because I wear holes in the knees in next to no time. Can't face spending much over £20 on jeans

Topshop or Miss Selfridge are the best for high street jeans. Tried H&M, DP and New Look and they all seem to lose their fit after a while and go baggy especially on the bum. My H&M and DP ones also faded quite quickly.
