Hya, well continuing my hair disaster at the weekend. and after going back and still not getting any joy from them. I have been to a new hairdresser this morning. They have pointed out all the mistakes -bleeding of colour, uneveness etc etc. Anyhow, basically its going to cost a lot for them to put it right. So, has anyone had any similar problems and got there money back from hairdressers. any experiences. thanks

No personal experience but I think I'd go in when the original salon was full of customers and rant very loudly about all the mistakes that they'd made, how much it was going to cost to put right, etc. Hopefully they'll either refund your money or sort out the mess, just to stop you telling all their other cstomers.

Otherwise, maybe trading standards could help?

Agree with frazzled.

No experience with hair sorry but when at a hotel we were staying in for a wedding the room had not been changed when we arrived.

We said it was OK as we were going out for a meal shortly after and expected it to be sorted when we got back.

It wasnt.

So I went down to reception and complained rather loudly. As soon as I had gathered a crowd they very quickly upgraded us

I'd go back to the hairdressers and say you're not happy with it and list all the reasons why. I had a similar trauma and told them by friends asked me if my children had cut my hair (which was true!)

They should offer to put it right for you for free, but the question is ... do you have faith in them putting it right? I didn't have faith in the original person putting it right, but the senior person did it fine. I always feel a bit awful whenever I go into the hairdresser and the original person is there. Knowing she's there giving me the evils has somewhat ruined the whole experience of having my hair cut, which I normally enjoy.

Ideally, do you want them to give you your original money back and then pay for you to have it corrected elsewhere? I'm not sure they'd agree to that, but if you argue loud enough in front of everyone, they might. I'm not sure of your legal rights ... maybe someone else might know?

Thanks for telling me your experiences, yes I just want me money back,i'm going in morning to see the owner, who was on holiday last week.
Have contacted trading standards now, who were very helpful about my rights of contract with hairdresser, basically when lost faith in work man ship should be able to go elsewhere to have damages put right. we'll see. thanks everyone.
