How do I make natural curls/waves look fab?

I have natuarlly curly hair - or at least my lower layers are curly, top layers are wavey but now I have the MN haircut I have a it more bounce in the top and can show off the bottom. How do I make my curls look nice rather than unkempt? When I wake up they are nicely defined - if a little unruley. As soon as I put a brush through it pulls them all out to a soft fluffy frizzy wave. I know that I shouldn't brush them...but how do I do from unkept just woken up to nice curls without a brush. Do I need some products on it? Any tips?

Step AWAY from the brush! Never, ever brush your curly hair.

I use leave-in conditioner, serum, and then in between washes I use hand cream to perk up my curls. Obviously you need to use the hand cream very, very sparingly.

I only brush cos until my haircut I wasn't really able to show off my hair as curly (unless I did a half up ponytail) as the top doesn't curl.

Will look at other thread

I have to wash mine each morning, then use a curl cream, either dry naturally or with a diffusser. (I would say my hair is generally more wavy than curly)

Frizzease - the best stuff known to womankind.
