I posted on here a while ago about the fact that I'm supposed to be helping my friend get an outfit for a wedding but I'm not really that good at it!
Anyway, she's bought this dress but now needs to brighten it up a bit (but isnt keen on bright colours!). So, she needs shoes, a shrug / cardi / something to cover up shoulders, ? belt etc. All help gratefully received! She has dark hair and olivey skin. Thanks.

silver accessories with black.

Thanks, silver sounds nice I'm just not sure what to do in colour - doing the shrug, belt, shoes and bag might be a bit much? Like would it be better to have silvery shrug, shoes and bag and black belt or what combinations? Thanks.

silvery shrug - perhaps crochet type, or black with silver.
Silver sandals (high of course)
I wouldn't wear a belt with that.
Black or silver bag.
I'm not linking as they always go wrong!

if your friend wants silver and is overly keen on bright colours then you could easily mix a bit of fuschia or turquoise in, esp if your friend has dark hair/ olive skin

this or something similar in dove grey no offence but think that a silvery crochet shrug will lower the tone of this dress, it's a classic dress and needs something more elegant

no belt!! classic, plain silver jewellery

then high shoes and a bag in either fushia or turquoise. Maybe a fascinator if she's so inclined? or a corsage?

you can afford to go quite OTT with the shoes since the dress is so plain

and hey ho, there's a matching clutch on the same page.

sorry, isn't overly keen I mean

Thanks for all your help - will ditch the belt and get some high shoes, clutch and shrug. Thanks
