Colour co-ordinating

OK, this may be a bit weird - and I'm not even sure it's in the right section (there are clearly parts of mn I have never ventured into).

I'm wondering if there are any websites that help you with colour co-ordinating? I've read all the threads about finding the colours that suit you and it occurs to me that this is what I need help with - for my home decorating.

I've just painted a room and i would love some website that shows swatches of colours that "go" together, for different effects.

Is there such a thing? i did a google search and came up with nothing, but then, what do you google for?

So "help me, mn, you're my only hope." [that's my little Princess Leia moment.]

Actually, I think someone posted a link to something like this a couple of days ago. Quattro iirc. Or a Q person anyway...

I can't find the post in question, but my trawling brought up mydeco.com/.

Hello Shonaspurtle. I've had a quick hunt through the old threads but nothing is leaping at me ... . Slightly terrified of doing a "search" for Quattrocento's posts though. Might be gone some time ... . that said, thank you for the lead; i may yet follow it.

Hello Shonaspurtle- Just seen your second post - thank you. Have glanced briefly and am awed by the "mood boards". I'm already rather fancying that. But promise I will go and investigate thoroughlly.

Sigh. Surely I cannot be the only person in the world with a not-very-developed-colour-sense? Perhaps I am and there is no need in the world for some piece of equipment, internet-based or otherwise, for poor, benighted folk like me?

No! You're not alone. I only just discovered that duck egg blue and chocolate go.

No sense of colour contrasts at all. Hence most of our flat is painted in shades of pale yellow. Mmm boring sunny! I keep buying testers of what I think is a different colour and it's always the same. I do the same with lipsticks.
