Please help - need flat shoes to go with this here wedding dress...

Have finally bought my dress but I really need some shoes! They have to be flat because of my height, and also because the ceremony will be taking place on the grass (hopefully if the weather is up to it) and because I have a toddler and a baby and don't want to be breaking my neck sprinting around in heels.

I'm thinking some sort of balley shoes, something comfy, maybe a bit Jane Austeny, if such a thing exists.

Can anyone please help?

Thank you Was! It's funny - I almost dismissed it without trying it on but it's one of those that come to life when you're actually wearing it. It isn't the one I thought I was going to get at all.

I don't mind what they're made of so long as they're really comfy - blistery bride would not be a good look. If it's really lovely weather might just get a pedicure and go for a barefoot wedding but will need shoes at some point...

More fitted flat shoes here, the pair with the strap around the ankle will look like high heels under the dress.

jambutty · 24/04/2009 21:06

bit pricey and have a heel but nice

patent

I knew I could rely on MN for help! I really like the £15 Henry Kaye ones actually, they look perfect, and a bargain! Thank you!

bohemianbint · 24/04/2009 21:15

I do have a lovely silver pair of flip flops with pretty silver leaves on them but they sliced into my foot and absolutely killed me.

MrsMcCluskey · 24/04/2009 22:23

is teh beading on the dress silver or gold?

bohemianbint · 25/04/2009 10:25

the beading's a faint gold and silver, IIRC.

missblythe - thank you, I'm really liking those gold monsoon sandals now, after deciding I wanted silver ballet shoes - help!
