I'm going shopping tomorrow and need ideas

I'm after a summer jacket, maybe a cardie, shorts, linen trousers and some kind of skirt

Found some lovely stuff today in Next and Dorothy Perkins

Could hardly drag myself out of White Stuff the other day - lots of lovely summer stuff. Also Oasis.

There are some lovely cardies and linen trousers on sale in Gap.

I got light cotton cardies in various colours for £4.99 each, they had heavier ones and tank tops too.

dresses dresses dresses - have bought loads of dresses.

EldonAve · 24/04/2009 20:39

oooh what style? mini maxi dressy casual?

okay, bear in mind that I am pregnant ... but I haven't actually bought maternity clothes ... just normal clothes that will work on a bump

all knee length except for one maxi
all spaghetti straps/ halters (have got quite nice slim arms and shoulder, hoping that by drawing attention to them, will detract from burgeoning bum - think the baby is growing in there tbh)
all casual-ish/ day but could easily be dressed up with diff shoes/ jewellery bag

Honestly, Primark was a winner when I went in the other day. Also Peacocks have some pretty sundresses - this one is lovely - in fact much of what I've bought is on these lines. The only pricier dress I've bought was this one

I just much prefer dresses to jeans/ trousers, although am resigned to jeans in the winter months.

I like the Peacocks dress . Have tried other ones on in there that had a v neck which was too deep for my sadly small chest but that one looks lovely.

Bay Trading have some nice, bright, reasonably priced stuff.

If I were not pregnant, I would be buying a tulip skirt for this summer

EldonAve · 25/04/2009 09:23

Bay Trading is now in administration

Another vote for White Stuff - plus, Asda of all places! It has some really nice linen bits.

Gap for vests and basics. Have had a couple of pairs of shoes from Next, two pairs of Birkenstocks, a few tops from Fat Face and some cotton tops from Boden with their silver belt which I am wearing to death and is surprisingly nice with a plain top and dark jeans.

Uniqlo have some lovely cotton strappy dresses to wear over leggings, jeans or without. Great coloured cardi's too.
