funky baby clothes?

A friend has just had twin girls. I'd like to get something for them, but her style is quite off-beat and funky - she certainly wouldn't like pink. Has anyone got any ideas where I could get some funky-coloured babygros or something - I want it to be a practical present too. The only ones I've managed to fine are extortionately prices - I wouldn't want to spend much more than a tenner on a one-piece (mean old bat whose kids live in cast-offs emoticon!).
Any ideas appreciated.

Have you looked in Hennes? They had some katvig-style patterned things this morning.

MadamAnt · 24/04/2009 16:54

Over budget, but these are SO gorgeous. Don't suppose you can chip in with another mate?

Sazisi · 24/04/2009 16:55

ooops, missed your no more than a tenner instruction - there is a sale section on that site, also she has been known to give discounts to mumsnetters so you could always enquire!

What about these? They could have one each A bit pink, but funky none-the-less!

MadamAnt · 24/04/2009 16:56

And I agree with MrsHappy. H&M is excellent IMO - all their stuff washes weell too.

ROFL

MadamAnt · 24/04/2009 17:02

Oooh check out the smaller items (bonnets etc) further down. They would be within budget!

ArcticLemming · 24/04/2009 17:02

Thanks everyone - some brilliant responses (with the possible exception of MadamAnts later contribution - ROFL!). There's some gorgeous stuff, and I may just have to blow the budget.
Am also fending off the desire to pick up a few bits for my DDs..., particularly from kids will be kids!

PortAndLemon · 24/04/2009 17:18

I love Nordic Kids but have never been able to justify the cost... why can't I have friends like you?

ArcticLemming · 24/04/2009 17:20

they're really great GM (assuming she's read the books and doesn' think I'm being insulting!)

More cheaply, Rainbow Babies has all the standard baby items in plain bright colours.

Rindercella · 24/04/2009 17:25

Check out here. There are several different designers, and although most are quite pricey you can get a bit of a bargain sometimes. Their Morrocan slppers for adults rock too.

ArcticLemming · 24/04/2009 18:06

Thanks Rindercella
they've got some good stuff in special offers - this is too big for the twins but may have to buy for DD here
