Every summer I look for a pair of flat or low heeled *girly* shoes which are will keep my feet cool but will not expose my toes ...

...and every year I fail to find them.

In 2006 I had the perfect pair from Bertie, but this is their 3rd summer now and they have already been re-heeled twice. I need something to replace them.

Please.

I can't be the only mutant-toed, non comfortable shoe wearing woman on the planet, can I?!

kit shoes by Laceys'- soft soft leather your feet will love you

chequersmate · 23/04/2009 17:33

Thanks Bald.

They are nice, but I'm not sure if they are girly enough for me.

No , I am also not proud of my toes, but have not yet found the solution........I watch with interest!

FAQinglovely · 23/04/2009 17:36

oh yes another one here who hates her toes, and wants them covered at all times.........but usually ends up in converse type shoes or trainers all summer

BeehiveBaby · 23/04/2009 17:38

What are the Bertie ones like?

They are gold, they are a sort of crossover/pleated style. T

hey let lots of air in but although technically open toed there is only about an inch hole at the end of them so you can't see the toes.

They are a slingback style at the back with a little buckle, and small heels (not kitten though).

Every time I wear them I get compliments, and I have left them at my Mum's house 200 miles away

Thanks Libra, those are nice. Wonder if my feet would get hot in them, do you reckon?

How about these?

ingles2 · 23/04/2009 17:55

ooo can I join you. I too hate my toes, they're really long .
I've never ever exposed them.
Anyway, I'm thinking of these
What do you think?

mrsmaidamess · 23/04/2009 17:58

i'm going to get these

chequersmate · 23/04/2009 18:26

Steamed, I like those but not sure they'd be up to all the walking I do.

Ingles, I like those.

MrsM, those are pefect! Very like the Bertie shoes except for the straps but other than that almost identical! Top marks!

runnyhabbit · 23/04/2009 18:35

I'm so glad I'm not the only with with "alien" toes (as my dh lovingly calls them)

Very much like every link

mrsmaidamess · 23/04/2009 18:37

See, I didn't even read your description of Bertie shoes. I just knew they would be perfect. I'm going to watch like a hawk until they come back into stock. They have them in Teal too, but I love the gold.

chequersmate · 23/04/2009 19:13

Ooh, I quite like the teal. But not nearly as versatile as gold which you can wear with any colour. Tempted to get them though as they have my size in stock and money off...

Unless you have legs like a supermodel (which you may have I don't know) that strap is going to be very unflattering I would have thought.

milkysallgone · 24/04/2009 08:57

crocs

I'm sorry...

chequersmate · 24/04/2009 12:52

Dammit, have had to resort to crocs since I left the Bertie ones at my Mum's.

Thankfully, she's coming to visit on Monday and bringing them with her. Think I'll have to stick with them again this summer.

Thanks everyone.
