They are a bit middle aged!

I have just had these delivered, but they are a bit high- stilleto type heels.

what do you think compared to the Next ones?

they are to waer with this dress, in the black option

could you wear flats with it or are heels a must? HELP!!!!

Pretty ballet-pump style flats would work if you have long shapely legs. Otherwise, the Dune or Next ones would be good. The M&S are very middle aged.

howtotellmum · 23/04/2009 11:03

Thanks- I have rather slim legs and heels make them look even "slimmer " ( ie skinny)

you have confirmed by fears about the M&S ones- wasn't sure if they were [sad[ or actually a bit trendy!

I would want to wear heels with that dress. I think the M&S ones are a bit frumpy and not glam enough for the dress.

Your dune ones are nicer than the next ones I linked to imo - they're lovely.

Next site has some mid-heel options though if you want something lower, and they won't break the bank

howtotellmum · 23/04/2009 11:10

Thanks DSW- will have a look at the Next site again- for the 100th time!

I seriously think the next ones are the sort grannies wear with pale blue skirt and blouse suits and pale tan tights!

I would wear here ) the top left hand corner ones as they don't look too high in purple. (Or if you are not a purple shoe kinda girl, in black!)

Jewelsandgems · 23/04/2009 19:10

Ooo yes madame

blinks · 23/04/2009 21:28

IT'S LOOK NICE WITH NUDE COLOURED HEELS. TIS A GOOD TRICK FOR LENGTHENING THE LEG.

blinks · 23/04/2009 21:39

FOR EXAMPLE

blinks · 23/04/2009 21:42

THESE ARE NICE TOO

MadameCastafiore · 24/04/2009 09:54

I think if you weren't wearing black you could do nude heels as it lengthens legs but I always think it looks a little odd wearing such a dark dress with nude heels.

If you live near North Essex you could always pop round and borrow some - DH has said I have to sell some of my shoes if I am going to buy anymore as we don't have anymore room for them. But I can't throw them away they are much loved friends!
