Style Mavens: Hair Help For the Hopeless Please

I have a hair appointment tomorrow; re-blondification will occur. But I don't know what to do with my hair.

Picture: 43, fat (very), completely round face and glasses. Can't abide hair that flaps around my face, or needs much in the way of faffing about with. It's currently shoulder length (just long enough to tie up successfully). I'm happy to have it all chopped off again, but no idea what to ask for.

Any ideas?

(I sound gorgeous, don't I!!!)

sharon stone-esque crop?

(don't like her, but I often think she has nice hair)
Am not a style maven though

If you don't like it in your face I'd say go short. Short is also great for the summer. Some say that you have to spend more time styling it when its short, but I find short hair easier and funky.

I like the pic muffle linked to.

Have you had a look on here:

www.ukhairdressers.com/

There's loads of styles to browse. I've spent too much time on there recently trying to decide what to do with mine on Saturday!!

Thanks Muffle and snowmummy - that gives me something to go on!

Have you had your hair cut yet? What did you have done?

subtlemouse · 23/04/2009 14:10

Yes! Short - sort of layerish down the sides and longer at the back (not a mullet, though I can see how it might sound like it!). Not very good at describing hair, but I took a picture of Rachida Dati with me as a model of 'grown-up' hair. I don't look anything like her, but it gave the hairdresser the idea!

Thanks for help.

That's great. You sound like you are pleased with it.

Looking forward to getting mine done tomorrow.
