Crinkle Dress Care

I've washed my crinkle dress once and the crinkles dropped out, so I've washed it again after tying it in a knot, but my question is, do I hang it to dry in a knot too? Or can I untie it and keep the crinkles?

Am confused!

I have one and I hung it up to dry and then when dry rolled it up in a knot and bunged it in a drawer - it was then crinkly when I took it out to wear it again
