Do you stick to it - or have you cast your clouts already?

I am still wearing opaque tights, if that's any help. I am not ready to show my bear legs yet.

But I am wearing a short sleeved dress.

I've swapped from wool to linen but you won't be seeing my legs for a while yet!

I wish I had bear legs, with lovely big paws on the ends

The proverb refers to the hawthorn blossom rather than the month, though I could never convince my mother of that as she tried to keep us in our woollen vests until the end of May.
I have swapped my boots for Converse and my jumpers for tshirts, but have still got tights on.

I thoguth the expression refered to the May or Hawthorn flowers whcih are out atm round us anyway so its out with the shorts for me as of this week for cyclign to work.

In Spain we say
'No te quitas el sayo hasta el cuarenta de Mayo'
'Don't take your vest off till the 40th of May'

In other words till the 10th of June! {grin}

I'm with ShauntheSheep on this one - the shorts are out this week. Legs are bare too but then they are all year round - doesn't mean they look good, just hate stockings/tights

I would do this ALL year round

I don't even look at my legs in the bath !!!! (in fact i shower so i don't look at myself at ALL!!)

I usually have at least a lightweight jacket (with a hood-i don't drive but i don't like being soaked either )
