you could try getting some sticky back fleecy stuff, scholl make some it will be in ffoot area of chemist.

In M&S in the shoe section you can buy gel shapes in different shapes and sizes to protect your feet.

Bizarrely, rubbing the inside of the shoe with a bar of soap seems to really work.

My gladiators were agony last summer until some genius MNetter suggested that, and I was all cured.
