Bag for outings - any ideas?

I 'need' a new bag for when I'm out for the day with my DC (aged 2 and 4). It must be roomy, for spare clothes/nappies/snacks etc, plus toys if we're travelling, plus all my things! It must have a zipped top and a long shoulder strap. I'd like something pretty, maybe floral.

Budget up to £40.

Any ideas?? Thanks!

Thanks anniemac - I like the fact it has the dtachable shoulder strap, but the patent is not quite me - I'm not trendy enough I think!! Any other ideas from anyone?

I bought a good sized one today from Ark. Unfortunately its not on their website but if there's a branch near you, it might be worth a look.

EldonAve · 20/04/2009 16:37

Does it need to go across body?

LoveToSleep · 20/04/2009 16:46

Ideally, yes, but definitely over the shoulder so not just clutch handles.

Thanks snow - I'll have a look at Ark.

I have one of these if your interested?

Disenchanted3 · 20/04/2009 16:52

it comes with 'nappy wet bag' and changing mat, but you may not need them.

LoveToSleep · 20/04/2009 17:14

It's lovely, disenchanted, but I'm trying to get away from changing bags as DS is now 2 and DD 4, and I've had changing bags (quite a few!) for four years! Thanks anyway.

I got a big white bag in Gap last week in the sale, no link sorry

Bettymum · 21/04/2009 10:05

This is a bit over budget but very pretty. Maybe you could find one on ebay?

LoveToSleep · 21/04/2009 19:21

I do like that Cath K one, but it's a bit on the small side - I've seen one uo close in Bicester Village! Something like that but bigger would be perfect!

Thanks.
