lol... he won't need to be fed in the church hopefully, it's longish coach ride there and back from the reception venue which is where we're staying so i'll try and get him to feed as much as possible on the way there.

I like the third one in your link but it's sold out, must be popular.

LaDiDaDi · 19/04/2009 23:45

Yep, twinset and the others are right - EVERYONE wears Coast and Monsoon to weddings these days. If you're going to spend up to £220, you definitely don't want to see a couple of others in the same outfit. Personally I like the first dress you mentioned, but not the others, but for the same price or less, you could get an amazing designer dress from the new website from Net-a-Porter, which is called theoutnet.com - last season's clothes, at massively discounted prices - ok, it's still not exactly dirt cheap, but you can dresses here for LESS than Monsoon and Coast.
Go to the discount section - I saw two lovely Issa dresses, the first reduced from £514 to £206, and the other reduced from £387 to £153!!! There are some amazing things on there, from designers such as Matthew Williamson, Stella McCartney, etc. Let me know what you think!

Tigerbear · 19/04/2009 23:50

Aaah, LaDiDaDi, I see you beat me to it with Outnet!

PinkTulips · 19/04/2009 23:53

am searching that site now... might be here a while with my crappy internet.

not really sure what my budget is, dp is doing his very sweet but completely unhelpful 'spend whatever you want, you deserve a lovely dress' speech .... not sure he realises how expensive that could get

can you wear black to a wedding?

OP posts:
Tigerbear · 20/04/2009 00:02

I guess so, but it's a bit ordinary imo, and dreary for a June wedding. Why do black, when there are so many beautiful colours and prints around? Did you see the Issa dresses yet?I think they're fab, and you could prob bf in them. I have a lovely Issa 'cape' dress, and wear it loads, even over skinny jeans when it's colder.

twinsetandpearls · 20/04/2009 00:07

issa one here, I am not sure.

twinsetandpearls · 20/04/2009 00:09

I like this one and it has buttons I think it only has tiny sizes left though

PinkTulips · 20/04/2009 00:15

good god, size 2? [faints]

not mad about the issa one tbh, the shape and style is lovely but the colours make me cringe a bit

twinsetandpearls · 20/04/2009 00:19

It is an american 2 which I think is a 6, but still tiny.

PinkTulips · 20/04/2009 00:31

good god, just noticed it's half 12.... bloody school run in the morning!

thanks for all your help ladies, think i'm back to square one but at least i know what to steer clear of

feel free to post up links to any amazingly gorgeous, breastfeeding and huge bra friendly dresses for 300 euros or under you happen to stumble across
