Bollywood-style outfit

I am going to a Bollywood party and need help urgently. I have looked on ebay for proper Indian saris but they are a lot of money for something I'd never wear again. Does anyone have ideas for an inexpensive outfit I could put together, or an Indian-style dress that could be worn at other times? There's a beautful dress on the Monsoon website but it's about £140 more than I can afford. www.monsoon.co.uk/invt/45030225&bklist=icat,5,shop,women,dresses,newwomandress

What about something like this? You could then buy a length of fabric in the same colour to wrap around youself.

We made Bollywood gear for the last dance show - red 'satin' wide leg trousers with elastic at the ankles, and 2m of red sequin fabric, about 30cm wide, over shoulder and wrap around waist, leave a bit trailing, put the lot over a cropped bright t-shirt. Bit of tacky coin trim at waist and on elastic across forehead - voilá - fabulous Bollywood dancers

thanks amandoh, I like that dress - not sure if it will fit though. Otherwise I will try gigglewitch's Blue Peter DIY outfit.
