I have podered thsi - would like narrow legged cotton or linen trousers for this purpose but they are mostly wide or have lots of buttons, pockets etc and look lumpy under tunics

i have a couple of pairs of these trousers that work perfectly - if you search ebay you should be able to find them in a wider range of colours too, they're been doing them for years. i wear them under tunic tops and knee length skirts, they're nice and lightweight/smooth, and personally i've always liked the look of wide leg trousers under dresses.

Well, toast recommends these and they do look nice on the model in the paper catalogoe. Do not look so nice on website but here goes:

Gosh they do look terrible on the web but the picture in the Ghost catalogue makes them look lovely; even dd1 said how sweet an outfit it was!

If they made them short enough I would get some Gap straight leg black trousers for wearing with tunic type tops but they are about three feet too long for me.

M&S straight leg 12 squid black jeans maybe?

pippo · 16/04/2009 21:55

thank you some different suggestions, shall have a look
