Don't know how to dress at the moment

I'm almost 37, breastfeeding a 7 month old and have two older dcs (5 and 3.6). My boobs are a 32 DD - which is fine - but my stomach is a fecking disaster zone. The third child has just trashed it and it looks like I'm about 4 months pregnant. I don't fit into any of my old tops, even the big ones I wore post baby the first two times.

I am a pear shape so usually small boobs, narrow shoulders, ok in the middle and big bum and hips. Now I am big boobs (well for me), big belly and big bum. I am wearing bf tops all the time atm as nothing fits.

My sister is getting married in August and I have no idea what on earth I am going to wear or even what shape to look for. I will probably still be bf at that point so won't have lost the norks yet.

Before this baby I was a 10/12 on top and a 12 or a 14 on the bottom. Now I'm having to try on 14s to go round my belly and be long enough but which are then too loose round my boobs.

What do I do? Just buy cheap stuff? and hope to lose it after bf? But if I do that what do I do for the wedding?

Any help gratefully received as I am feeling really down about it. At least my face still looks ok thank god

I feel the same as you...

I went shopping this afternoon to get a few bits and bobs to tide me over until i lose more baby weight but there's just nothing in the shops that i like and the stuff i like looks awful on me!

I have 1 pair of dark jeans from principles and a pair of black linen trousers from next that i am living in at the mo. I've decided that im going to get a few cardigans and some funky coloured vests and plain tops and layer them under the cardigans plus layering helps to hide my mummy tummy.Topshop etc do 2 plain vests and T's for £9 and their nice material. The ones i have already are wearing well considering their being washed twice a week.

I think i'll treat myself to some nice accessories and a new bag etc until i find some clothes i like.

My tummy is a disaster too and its grim, got asked at the weekend if I was pregnant!

I have to say by 7 months you are entitled to buy a couple of nice things (money permitting), but I am still wearing some really cheap empire line tunic tops from Peacocks of all places and they look ok (I think) as they hide the belly bits. Hennes maternity wear t-shirts are pretty great too and they usually have some pretty tops that don't look too maternity; I still wear their long vests under everything so that the horror is never inadvertently revealed - they also had some nice cross over tops with the line under the bust so it falls over your tummy. Umn, the other thing that made me feel human was to get a pair of jeans that actually fitted the size I was at that moment - I found nice wide leg ones cheaply in Sainsbury's (no really, they were ever sonice) and when I lost a bit of weight I bought some I love from Gap.

For wedding: not sure if it helps with the Bf angle, but anything empire line should help (will you still be bfing by then?) you could find a wrap dress that ties under the bust (there are some lovely ones in Boden). Invest in some shaping underwear - there's no shame there anymore (others may have more sugestions) I think they are called Spanx? (hoping this is not some misremembered dodgy adult reference). For the tragedy of post feeding boobs I got a gel filled bra which balances my total lack of chest (think half a pitt bread) over my wobbly belly better and makes tops and dresses fit - and it make me happy and I am about to go and find some of those special tummy-tuck knickers - prob M&S. I wouldn't buy the wedding outfit just yet you are definitely going to change shape again, but do go and get yourself something pretty and nice that fits now.

Sorry for rambling, am thinking about this a lot at the moment for similar reasons. Sending you happy stylish thoughts!
