Anyone tried:

Piz buin gradual self tan
St tropez every day
Olay Touch of Sun
Neutrogena Nourishing Glow
Maybelline Dream Sun Glow

I have tried loads of others but even with exfolating and using a mitt they still go wrong!!

what works for me is to exfoliate, rub in lots of body lotion, apply fake tan, sometimes diluted with 50/50 body lotion on 1st application, THEN go over the bits that "grab colour" ( knees, ankles etc) with a damp cotton wool ball to remove a tiny bit of the tanning lotion. That way, you might end u with a slightly plaer area, but you will NOT end up with orange streaks etc.

I like Clarins gel, whichseems to give a nicelight colour- I am pale- and can be built up.

I tried Johnson's holiday stuff and found it just as dark ( and potentially streaky) as the Clarins.

I was going to post straightaway that the Body Shop one comes out all streaky on me. But I see that baDaBing likes it. I expect I am applying it wrong....

fridays child do you exfoliate, moisturise and apply with a handmitt?

St Tropex everyday is marvellous

Is the bodyshop one the cocoa butter everyday one?

I used the Dove one, and ended up with orange feet and a streak up each shin, a few orange circles at tops of my thighs but there was a darker colour over the whole of my legs.....it still hasn't worn off!

BUT.....after a closer inspection I realised I had bought the one for 'dark skin'. I am so white yo can see through my legs most of the time. ooops!

The clarins one is good. I mix it with body lotion and build up layers.
